introduction!!!!

Post by shakenbake »

Hi my girlfriend and I just got two super sweet Honda spree's!! We do lots of racing events with our cars and have been looking for something to transport ourselves around at the track, and outside of the track, we pretty much live in the heart of Portland OR!! so the Honda spree will also be very practical for short trips around town! Anyway we just wanted to introduce ourselves, my name is Wryann and my girlfriends name is Mallory. We are also known as shakenbake in the racing scene.

and for any one that lives in Portland..... any croozes? meets?? We are already planing on going to Voodoo on Sundays.

By the way we already ordered the 48mm piston & cly kit!!

Welcome to the Forum, Wryann. One question:

Who rides the black one? :)

Which one is faster?

I'm guessing the black one has better top speed.

I am also very suprized that you red one has the petcock cover in place. Don't lose that. :thumbwink:

Black one is more than likely an 86, red one is definitely 85. These are two strokes, smoke is good! It probably smokes more after sitting overnight because the oil pumps tend to leak into the crankcase as they sit. As long as it isn't leaking TOO bad, it's not a disaster. Oil gets burnt off in less than a minute, and you're good to go.

I was in Portland this last weekend and the idiots on the Washington side were working in the north bound lanes on the bridge for I-205 causing a major back up. Anyway we cut across town and picked up I-5. While doing so saw an bump stick the fit Portland perfectly;

Keep Portland Weird

Oh and I-5 was also screwed to jumped off on to US-30 and took the scenic route.

I thought the "Keep X-City Weird" was an Austin, TX thing. Here in Austin, that's the motto of the city for some reason. I guess the hippees want to keep it that way. My wife and I are big people watchers. Anytime we see a "typical" Austinite, we call those people "Austin Weird".

I see probably 15-20 "Keep Austin Weird" stickers a day to and from work.
