Help! I need some advice.

So, i have a 86 honda spree that i have been working on and i was wondering since i dont have the expertice or skill to to a BBK i was wondering if Taz's gears and the Vari would work well without the BBk? Thanks, any advice would be aprecaited. :smile: :newb:

well the vari isnt in production just yet for the spree. the gears will give you a couple mph but it is best to get the bbk with it. and there is nothing to it. there is plenty of info on here on how to do it and get the manual and it will tell you how to tear down and rebuild. its really simple to do.

well, with my 13 year old budget ($200-250) if i was to do the BBK what else should i do then because i will be waiting for the vari to come out before i start IF it is in my plan.

the vari is going to be a while so i think i would go with the bbk and taz now(or will real soon) has "raceing"gears so watch for those and get them.

13 huh? planning on riding that around burien? watch out for the cops boy they will nail ya! If ya need some parts I'm down in Tacoma.

Alright sweet! i think i will go with the 44mm bore. and gears.

What is the difference between the Other set of gears and racing gears??

With your $250 budget I would just swap out the motor for a variated one like an Elite or Aero.

Pops have a welder?

yeah no kidding.

lets see i do a twice a week ride form the police training center (wich is in burien) down into des moines wich is about 5 miles at 25 mph. and backroads are not a possibility.

i have had a couple close calls tho!

no, i wish but my 24 year old super mechaniclly inclined cousin in law will be helping my with my mods and he has some welding skill, i think. :oops:

If you can turn a wrench and follow instructions you can do it. *, my daughter works on hers and shes 13 too.

ill talk to taz about parts and prices and start workin but it will unfortunatlly be about a month and a half right now for i will be in dunes twice for a week each and taking soree and whiskey bike :]
