if the guy is using the fast line then you know how hard it is to pass in any of the turns.plus the suspension on my bike sucks. stock rear 87 elite shock with a steering damper to help somewhat and stock front forks that has worn sleaves and washer. these forks are not like motorcycle forks that have valving in it. the scooter forks has a hole that a sleave and washer slides over and oil pass between the sleave and the wall of the fork leg. i have 10w30 oil just to get to work somewhat. the heaviest fork oil didn't do nothing. so pushing hard around the turns is pretty much a gamble. the bike is sliding front and rear every turn and the high speed turns the rear chatters hard because of the wrong damping.

here is a track near you that you can go out and race at.they do minimoto racing there.

I feel your pain with the suspension at least if it like mine. I don't think there is any dampening on either end. I had thought about adapting a motorcycle shock or maybe even some air struts.

I would like to race again. If it were closer to Missouri I might consider it. I raced bicycles after I quit motorcycle racing finally quitting at 56. I did see some posts last year on a Motard series in springfield Il, held at what looked to be a Karting track. Something must have fallen through as there was no 2010 series.

Thanks for letting me race vicariously through your videos.

Ok for you oregon guys. The last big race of the year at Pat's Acers in canby,OR on oct. 16-17th. The 16th is Saturday which is practice all day from 9am till dusk.its $40 unless its your first time there you have to buy a license for $12 to practice. That's cheap as the seattle track charges $50 if your not a member for 3 hours but you have to share that with kart guys.you can come out to watch too. Its a supermoto event and scooter cup race so a lot of guys will be racing. We have ages 7 to who knows racing out here. Those peewee class kids are fast too on 2 stroke 50 and 60cc bikes.come on out. It will be a good one for sure

I haven't seen many people take you up on your invite, but I really admire your enthusiasm and persistence. You're the man.

...and, why'd you choose the mhr over a corsa kit? As-you-know, I've got the mhr myself, and it seems very few people rock it. Mine pulls hard from 0-60mph with 9.71:1 gears.

because the hawaii guys all push the polini bores.its the "do as the romans do"syndrome.i myself never ran a polini bore.i always ran either taiwan bores or malossi.i always for some reason got good deals on malossi bores but never polini.plus I always trusted malossi bores as they never let me down.and yes the mhr has very good power. my race bike with 9to1 gears gets up to 55.4mph in a 625ft straight at the track and still pulling.

Thanks D! it helped that I brought a new motor.this time I ported the cylinder just a little and upped the compression 15psi.I wanted more torque out of the corners but not a higher rpm because I wanted the power band to come on early.I had to use the same pipe thats why. big difference now.still got to keep the momentum through the corner but much more torque coming out.not bad topspeed on the short 625ft straight. 625ft is from tip to tip so really I got about 585ft when i hit the brakes. she hit 55.4mph with the 9to1 gears and still pulling so not bad for this setup. need little bit more I think.

I am really impressed with your bike handling and engine building skills. You go into the corners much faster than the other guys. I think a bunch of their problem is they are set up for a max top speed and you being the smart one, realize that only on the front straight do you use top speed. Acceleration is everything in this kind of racing. Great finish to the year. Image
