My Aero 50 with New DAYTONA Temperature Gauge Installed!

Post by z50r-ghost »

Hey guys,

I finally received my Daytona Digital Temperature Gauge and Daytona Mounting Bracket from Japan. -It was backordered for 3 months, so I had quite a long wait time for it. It works perfect, and looks somewhat like a "Honda factory option" with the Daytona mounting bracket. :2thumbs:
I have needed a temp gauge for my Corsa setup for the last year. I could never bring myself to cutting a mounting hole :surprise: in my Aero's new "interior" red plastic for the round aircraft CHT gauge that most guys use on their scooters. Since I didn't have a temp gauge until now, I had to jet really rich and constantly do plug chops.

-I took alot of pics, let me know what you think of my Aero's CHT gauge (and the new 21mm Oko carb)!

Later, jon :coolcruise:

-Yeah tw39515, that's the time, not the temp!!

When the ignition is off, the time displays on the gauge.
When you turn the ignition on, the gauge illuminates bright green and the temp is displayed. You can switch betwen celcius and farenheit, and see the max. temp reached.

Mr. McFly & evilone, thanks for the compliments, guys!! That's saying alot, Keith... I'd hate to make you "cheat!"

Temperature gauge, new carb and filter look terrific, but the scooter will always suck my eyes back. Nice pics, great reflections!

BTW - The photo on the Daytona box shows the gauge indicating 614 deg C. Thats's 1137F, so I'm thinking that gauge may reach up into EGT temps. Does the manual state the range and sensor type?

There is a point between the 61.3 C*

Yep, if ya look really close, there's a decimal point; 61.3 deg c.

Thanks much for all the compliments, Mousewheels!! Yeah, I just noticed the reflection. :bowrofl:

Awesome!!!

Such a nice compliment to a beautiful Aero.

What are the parts #'s for the Daytona gauge & bracket?, as well as an approximate cost?

Thanks!

0.1C resolution? :) The Daytona's right there with my datalogging meter... I still have not located a specs or a manual of the Daytona meter - do they specify the temperature range?

mousewheels,

The Daytona manual says it measures temperature from -50 deg celcius to 250 deg celcius. (-58 deg fahrenheit to 482 deg farenheit) Another cool feature is the Daytona meter is completely waterproof a.k.a. rainproof!

Patrick, I PM'ed you the part numbers for the gauge and meter, and the approximate cost (with Yen conversion) is around $150 for both.

Hope this helps, jon :coolcruise:

Greetings:

Dawg, if I weren't hurtin' so bad for cash, I'd trade my S and the left lobe of my liver for your Aero! Of course, the Aero's parts are worth more than the Sporty...
