87 se50???
Just picked this sucker up. Its an 87 se50 with 2700 driveway miles. It seems to be running way better than my 88sa50 ever did until it went bigger. But for a complete stocker its a sweet little ride. But anyway, does anyone know where I could find a set of those tiny tires. 2.75*10.00. Would i be able to throw a 3*10 on it or would that not work?

Re: 87 se50???
That's a lot of driveway miles . My local cycle shop carries that size tire. You can get online too, just google the size. Not sure about the 3*10 and how about a pic?

Re: 87 se50???
I am running 2.5x10 tires on my se50 rims. I have mounted 3x10 on the rims and they were fine but I did not run them on my se50 so I can't speak about the clearance. The se50 runs the port design of the nb50, after '87 they changed it for the sa50 series. The se50 is not as nose heavy either, so it "pops" more and adds to the feel of power.

Greetings:
3"x10s should present no clearance problems at either end. 90/90s should fit too, depending on brand. It's still a variated AF05 with 3-reed and perhaps manifold upgrades. With any luck at all, if it's badged SE50 (no "P") and/or Elite S, there's a 50/50 chance it has a 13-tooth clutch shaft, for 10.x:1 final drive. Scarce parts, those.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Greetings:
Some came equipped with 10:1s, but reportedly some had regular 11.097:1s.
Despite its 8" wheels - and thus shorter overall gearing my JDM DJ-1 had 11s.

Re: 87 se50???
Yes some se50p bikes came with 10to1 gears.I know because I have one now and my first 87 I bought brand new in 88 had it.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:
