This is Michigan

We can build and license just about anything we want here.

These are way over 50cc, but they are still registered as "mopeds" . $15 get you a sticker that lasts for 3 years. No insurance or helmets or special licence required.

If you ever get off that ghetto rock of yours.......you should come check out northern MI.

Nice rides! I'd rock one or the other.

On a side note, does the institution where maddog resides issue a computer pass once a week? Or does he need that much time to formulate an totally unresearched and inaccurate answer to all threads here?

Just wondering.

Those look like scooters. Are they registered as "Mopeds"? I just don't see any pedals...

They are registered as mopeds. Michigan law does not require pedals for it to be registered as a moped.

My elite s is registered as a moped.

Jeez. One thing I miss about MI is the abundant mechanical ingenuity, and the lax vehicle registration. That rear body cover is made of wood, isn't it?

I snapped a shot of a similar bike here in FL, but without the bodywork. Guy had a trailer on it and was using it for his handyman service.

.
The rear is made out of 100% real wood.

The rear suspension is made from valve springs off a ship engine. :surprise:

The air cleaner is made from a tin of Skoal :thumbwink:
