Can anyone tell me if the package tray on the front of my Spree is hard to find/rare? I have not seen to many of them.
Also did the 84 Spree come with a battery box cover? Mine does not have one.

Optional on 1984,1985 and 1986 Spree, standard on 1987 Spree. So yeah it is hard to find.

bettery box covers seem to be rare as i dont have one either, the air box cover should be able to find, hit up martynkim or bradthree.

The original petcock cover are scare, but we have a couple of members here on the forum make replicas and reasonably priced. I do not have a battery cover on my '85 Spree but I never looked to see if it came with one.

I said air box cover....oops, I ment the battery box cover. Mine has the air box cover and the petcock cover both. Only missing the battery box cover. Sorry about the mistake.

As far as I know, all Sprees came with battery box covers. There were easily lost as Im sure people removed them to charge or tend their battery, then didnt see a reason to keep them on afterwards.
Over the years I've had a couple of those covers and when I put them up for sale they go immediately. They are very rare, but not very functional

Cool thanks guys. I see no real need for the cover either, was just trying to figure out if there was one there originally. The manual only shows one picture of the cover, and it's just a drawing of the parts so I didn't know for sure if they had one. But if anyone has one I'm looking for a nice one. As this is the only part my 84 is missing.
