There's NO point to go past 6,000K on the bulb output.
After that, the bulbs light output turns much more blue and the lighting actually gets darker....
5,500K is the "sweet spot"

Re: Cheap HID kit!
the higher the rating the more blue they look and are less bright also run hotter. any vehicle in texas thats not manufactured with hids is illegal.

Great, I might have to order some different bulbs. I didn't know. Hopefully these work OK? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... K:MEWNX:IT

Re: Cheap HID kit!
I know it's dumb question.... which bike are you going to install HID?
I installed HID on my 06 yamaha vino 125 and couldn't work very well... it's strange...
I intalled HID on 6 different bikes so far and HID projectors in four bikes and 09 dodge challenger...
here's a video I installed HID projectors in my burgman 400 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgPNFWr7u9Y
I'm tempted to put one on my elite but dunno if it would work
