Here's something that you don't see everyday; a used NS50F fuel tank on eBay that *appears* to be pretty clean on the inside.

Definitely could use a media blasting, prime and repaint, but if you could get it for a good price, totally worth it.

I think I just talked myself into bidding... :nervous: <---- I like this dude... Nervous...

Haha, thanks mike! I've ridden a motorcycle at a moped rally once before, and that's all it took to get me over it. Everyone swerving around and slamming on their brakes is fine when you're also on a moped. I'll definitely keep the busted forks and try to fix them to have as spares.

Ghost - I'm getting the whole front end, but thanks for the heads up! I'm too pumped about the japanese gauge cluster to only grab the fork tubes. I'll be sure to update with any changes, but the only things I have planned for now are new forks (obviously), and new tires.

I assumed you were in Swoops, maybe incorrect... :hi:
Regardless, looking forward to rockin' Saturday in Suches... :thumbwink:
There's gotta be a moment that we get ALL the NS bikes together for a photo

Good find, GKinTN; yep, that's the earliest year Japanese version NS50F. Actually looks great for his 1000$ asking price... But then he says won't take offers lower than 500$. Someone could easily take this home for 800$... :)

Here's the pic link:

http://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/read.ph ... sg-3191473

It's in Orlando. It has a rear OEM "Comstar" wheel, and a front disc 3 spoke NS50F mag . He noted "for the right price" he will add in the front Comstar and a bore kit.

Someone on HS jump on this! Too good to pass up!

-I forgot to mention; the pipe on the bike is stock. -Japanese NS50F's came with a aluminum "sleeve" over the silencer portion of the exhaust. Looks aftermarket, but it's a stocker. ;)

Again, this is an incredible deal... 70mph 'drafting' on the highway... Must be a good running NS!

Just thought is pass this along...

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 2721633284

This is a Metrakit 75cc kit for the NS50 / NSR50 engine.
It's price tag says $299. Definitely not a bad deal... Metrakit makes some very, very nice bores.

I've heard from a European buddy this kit makes loads of power....

EEK!!

The more closely I look at it, that bike DOES appear to have a Japanese pipe on it... I spy a spring mounted flange at the head, and a bolted-on silencer... Possibly a K2TEC chamber.

Did anyone else notice the headlight??

This is looking like one nice JDM NS50F... !

I did notice the headlight being much less square than our U.S. OEM .
My plan to use a CEV bucket with a tach inserted into the gauge well is hampered by the instrument cluster already there.
One of the Pseudomoto brothers has the CEV set-up on his CB 400 Super Sport. Looks amazing.
Maybe I will add a tach in the intended position like the factory option and just be happy.
I admit that there is no real need for a tach, but I would like to monitor revs occasionally.
As long as this headlight is functioning on both high & low beams, not likely to goof around with it.(as much as I dislike the look)

Orlando dude replies he intends to be @ True Grits... :thumbwink:

208 original miles in VA. Even has the optional tach! Expensive and needing some "TLC", but still it looks like with a good cleaning it might be close to show quality.

Great find GK...I would offer trade on my Aeros, but I can't ride NS50 all the time.
Besides this guy is probably looking for a modern scooter.
Amazing bike...he apparently has done his pricing research... :hi:
