my "other" chamber / RS Lip's R-13
...I wanted to show you all my other RS Lip's chamber: R-13
"Double Structure" chamber designed for both torque and high rpm power.
RS Lip's created this pipe in the early 2000's; it has "evolved" and changed each year from sponsored racer input and R&D. ....R-6, R-7, R-8 to the latest R-13 denoting year; some versions getting mid-year changes such as the "R-7 Final Version."
* a while back (in the PG Long days) I bought a tiny 8mm endoscope / borescope camera that has 4 led's for illumination. its amazing to me investigating the insides of an expansion chamber / exhaust. -The inside of the Lip's R-13 is really, really cool... PG Long is really interesting inside as well!

Thanks for the info on the MacCrane rearsets Jon!
Before I heard from you, I had sent them an email asking which of the two versions was correct for my US version 1990 NS50F (referenced their part numbers in my message). They responded saying that they didn't recognize either part number! So I responded with a screen shot of both - hoping this will help. If that doesn't work, I'm going to leverage a friend or two in Japan to help me out (or call them directly!).

Just bit the big bullet and ordered the rearsets for the NS50 from WeBike Japan. Man, I hope they are worth it... I'll take pics when they arrive.

I finally had a free minute to write you back about your questions! Thanks for being so patient!!
First off, YES! Just going from a 50cc to a 63cc kit makes a HUGE difference in power in the case of the Daytona kit. As well as a displacement increase of 12cc's; it is the porting and the port timing that make the biggest difference. Daytona has put a lot of research and testing into the kit and it is extremely durable just like the OEM cylinder.
As for your cylinder head being in bad condition, could you post a picture or explain what you mean? The kit does not include the cylinder head; it is designed to use the stock NS / NSR type head.

Thinking about putting motard CR80 forks/swingarm/wheels on the NS50F (upgrade to disc brakes front & rear and also use Honda RS125 rubber). Have to look more closely at what would have to be done for rear suspension but fun to think about!

I know this is Jon's thread, but it seems to be the best resource for NS50s right now. Does anyone have an extra signal switch assembly they would like to sell? I thought I had one on motorsport.com but when I ordered it they found it to be obsolete.
Also, Jon, I was wondering with your Daytona kit, do you have to mix fuel or does the stock injection suffice? Thanks, Michael

Hey lowburb: I parted out an NS last fall. The assembly was there, but I took it apart to get the HIGH-BEAM slide-button out. I'm afraid it's just a pile of parts currently. I need that high-beam switch, but maybe the rest of the parts will help you, IDK. ...bump...for some totally awesome NS50F chatter...
I had intended to hang out with my Pseudomoto brethren, and then cut out to the race track when they took off on a 115 mile ride.
Turns out, I opted to tag along with the pack instead.
Covered 69 miles before turning off and short-cutting back to town.
Nessie seems to like it the faster and tighter she's wound.
I keep clicking off miles and having absolutely no issues.
Knock on wood.
Here's the satisfying part: My 50cc two-stroke with me aboard (prob 220# net)...not only stays with the pack on the twistiest of roads, but at times, I start gaining on some and have to choose between passing or rolling off. Today's group was made up of 750 Hondas, and a hodge-podge of 650's, 450's, 350's and one Harley. To my surprise, there was a moment Nessie maintained a full 60 mph on the flat.
Talk to me Shifty Fifty's.......
