It's one of the worst feelings ever...to reach for your moto and it's gone.
I couldn't let go of the feeling until I moved.
Then I got hit for a laptop out of the house.
Caught that sucker though, and he paid up, and has 4 more years left on probabtion.
Justice is rare, but, _ _ it happens.

Whew, what a day. Glad bikers have each others back and there is such a thing as the internet to get the word out.

*-SEE got pretty beat up within the day and a half. The ignition and gas tank cap were drilled out. First things first, I need a new gas cap.

So far I've found http://japan.webike.net/products/20365767.html & http://www.dealercostparts.com/pages/EC ... E24F1200AA

Anyone ever dealt with either of these two?

I usually use Service Honda (and have had excellent and fast service with them) but I checked and the fuel cap is $96.93 so a little bit higher than at Dealercostparts. I'm pretty sure Webike is Japan based and shipping will be VERY expensive. However since they have a much cheaper part price maybe you can dig deeper and get a shipping quote.

I'm pretty sure CB900F aka Jon in this thread deals with Webike, but I haven't seen him here in a while. He has a bunch of very expensive Japan only parts on his NS50F.

Great news that your NS wasn't gone for good!

The member that uses webike is z50r-ghost, not CB900F.
Glen has names crossed.
Jon is the right name though...
I'll shoot him a text and ask if he has any extra parts.
Send him a pm here too couldn't hurt... :urban:

Here's a couple more pics of my race bike detailed earlier in this thread. Fitted with Lockhart spun alum. YSR wheels.

Nice little race bike!

I haven't been able to get myself to like the 12 inch wheels - makes a motorcycle look like a toy to me...

Just wanted to say "Hi everyone & Hi everyone's NS50F's!"

-I'm still here and all good! I've been stuck in...
* vintage 1/10th scale, FOUR STROKE Kyosho FW03 Super Ten R/C touring car world lately. *

I was really, really into R/C on road cars for quite a while thru my childhood, and have recently rebuilt a couple vintage, Kyosho (brand) cars. The Super Ten series of cars are one of the best built on-road R/C cars to this day. They were released in 1997, are far and few now.
-To take restoration one step further, the .26 size 4 stroke installation kit and engine are next to impossible to find now as well.

Just like my NS; I source all my performance parts from Japan-

I will share pics soon, and post a link to my "Off Topic" post here so you can see what I've been building

I hope all is well with everyone and I'm glad harrdy got his NS back, and fixed.

Talk to you Shifty dudes soon, Jon :)
.locked away in a cage my rage has got the best of me

Well, this was a race bike and when I started in the early 90's, skinny 17" race tires were hard to come by. All the street legal tires I tried would let go without any warning(ouch!).
The Dunlop YSR slicks were cheap and grippy as heck and I could run them at fairly low pressures. I could really get good drive out of the corners, a key element for mini racing on short and twisty kart tracks.
During the second season, I was able to pick-up a pair of used 17" Michelin slicks(real "cookie-cutters) from the Pro RS 125 riders and I went back to a "Big wheel" for the rest of the season.
But the bike was still faster on the Dunlops, as much because I could get my knee down, something I couldn't do with the big wheels.
For the third season, I went with a smaller custom fuel tank which allowed me to turn the fork clamps(Tripple trees) around, which shortened the wheelbase for the 12" wheels and things really started to click(think NSR with a longer swing arm), With the alum. wheels and tank, the NS(stands for Not Slow)50 weighed around 150 lb.s fueled. I could easily pick it up.
150 lb.s, 15 hp @ 15,000 rpm, it was a YSR killer, that we would also race in the 80cc, liquid-cooled endurance races. Not quite as fast as the 80's, it was so reliable, we actually finished third a couple of times.
In fact, in the 40 to 50 times it was raced, we never had any sort of break down!

Each time i take out my NS50F, it feels like a race.... :thumbwink:
I've not done anything to the bike regarding the tuning since owned.
That would amount to about 1,200 road miles now.
Just yesterday it seemed to loose throttle response on the low end until I had it 1/2 way open, at least.
Won't idle. Must have picked up trash in the bowl and gotten into the idle circuit/jet...with any luck that's all... :urban:
I fully understand your comment about the smaller wheels working better when track is tight.... :coolcruise:

Perhaps the cleanest original Honda NS50F I've ever seen for sale. Just 82 original miles, all the fairing options, perhaps too nice to ride...

Correct. It appears someone did click the buy it now but then must have backed out because then it was relisted. Now someone clicked on the starting bid of $1500, which made the $2k BIN go away. Time will tell on this one...
