Re: Does anyone else own a Honda NS 50?

Post by z50r-ghost »

The mb5 tops out at around 55 down a hill; it's power output is a bit lower than the NS. The engines look similar but are totally different. Honda could squeeze more power with the NS engine (reliably) due to the NS being liquid cooled. The NS bore has more radical porting, a much better pipe, and has a bit more compression, if I remember correctly. A cool thing about the MB5 engine that I have read about very briefly is some type of a "crank balancer" (i know, sounds weird) that let's the engine run so smoothly all thru the rpm range. The mb5 is ALOT lighter, too!

There is a company called Perk LLC that specializes in all things MB5...

Thanks guys! Keep in mind that the side panels are still at the body shop, and the wheel setup will be Excel gloss black rims, stainless spokes, red nipples, and powdercoated gloss-silver hubs and brake panels...

Headlight bucket is still at body shop too.

The tank on my NS is NEW!! Yaaay!! Factory fresh tank with graphics and clear-coat from Honda.... (discontinued 10 years ago) MUCH thanks to mr. J.S.-

Thanks again for your support! -j.

...and another thing, I like the 'naked' look.

Also, will a NS50 fit in the back of a Honda Element? Length and height of the bike please.

After looking at Jon's bike, I had to have one. Just did a deal on one that has 233 miles on the odometer.
