Sad I missed out on that pipe!

I have all the other possible options that are available stateside, though.

I was sad to miss the true grits ride to show some NS love, but there is always next year.

I can report that the Turbokit pipe (on treats), a charmo kit, and 18" wheels will get you above 70 mph.

I can also report that falling henceforth from said bike on said ride at 35mph makes the shoulder stiff and the rib crack.

I look forward to playing with some cylinder porting and trying out the Homeot pipe I just bought from mopeddivision. Let's hope it fits!!

Sorry motormike, still no VIN info! I'll dig that gem out of the shed soon as I am moving and will have to knock the dust off it.

Hello page 44...and thank you EeroW for the post.
Too bad about the off...hope you and the bike heal quickly.
I said the same thing about Grits this year,... "maybe next"
I think if i do it again, ever, I will take the Gyro, leave in the first group out,
and make everybody pass me.... :bowrofl:
I sure miss the spirit of my NS50. The new bike (Sym Wolf classic 150) does virtually the same job,
but it does not induce the same emotion.
No regrets though..."Nessie" just got to be far too uncomfortable after 10 minutes.
2014 has been a wonderful year...and blessings are bountiful.
Best wishes to all Hondaspree... :urban:
Happy Holidays you -Shify Fiftys - GKinTN - haardy - Z50r-ghost - NSr's ! !... :geekdance:

Very much contemplating selling my NS50 along with lots of aftermarket parts I bought including rearsets that were well over $200 alone(will also be including a number of parts from Jon - ghost that you can look at here in this thread). If anyone is interested, I could help with delivery depending on where you live (bike is in Holland MI 49423). Hit me up with a PM and I can send details. Lower price - looking for $900 and can very likely help with delivery. Tried to add pictures but unable to for some reason (message about system issue)...

Greeting Gents!

This seems to be the most visited and informative NS spot on the net. So I figured I'd post up and save the link to follow along with all the other NS'ers out there

Just picked this one up a couple weeks back.
Image

Picked it up running and riding. A fella and his pops fixed this one up and posted it on fleabay. I caught wind of it and jump without hesitation. I've had a couple shifty fifties(rx50, and a couple MB's) but never had the joy of saddling up a NS. After a quick title, tag and registration I brought her along for our first day commuting.
Image

Such a fun ride! Going to give it a bit more TLC, but not much cleanup. I prefer to have the life and character of the bike showing, rather than a freshly painted jewel.

I am on the hunt for a few bits; front headlight cowl, engine cowl/chin fairing, and rear NS 'liquid cooled' decals

Down the road she'll probably get a decent wheel/disc brake/fork upgrade. For now fresh fluids, chain maintenance, and aired up tires is all she needed.

Welcome steezin_and_wheezin ... :hi:
This thread has seen several come and go for a few years now.
The current status seems to be in a lull.
My personal choice has been stated in the previous comment just above this.
I have grown too uncomfortable on the NS and switched to a Sym Wolf.
No regrets, but the spirit of the NS is not possible to duplicate.
Happy trails to you......I'll be watching...........maybe some new life will come back to the thread.... :urban:

Thank ya mike, still digging through all the good stuff in this thread. You liking the Sym Wolf? I've ridden big and small bike, 2 and 4 stroke. I've sworn off all 4 strokers and only have a stable of brappers now. The smaller displacement bikes are perfect for my 3 mile round trip commute. The NS definitely has character that not many other bikes can match. Best shifty fifty I've owned so far, hands down. The RX50 and MB5's I've owned couldn't hold a candle to the ride I get out of the NS.

Just gonna throw out a guess....probably coming from "Webike"
You should post a WTB ad here in the WTB/For sale heading.
graphite9 is selling other Kitaco items. Hit him up.

Thanks Mike! I did a bunch of google searching and the keywords are "kitaco headlight nsr50" and it points to webike.
What's the diameter of the Kitaco headlights?

Saw a few Kitaco's floating around webike.. I don't want to jinx it, but I think I finally located some rear/side plastics with decals still intact!!

Now with a stroke of luck- I'm hoping a front, engine, and chin fairings/cowls before I die. Wouldn't mind a oem tach to top the tree with

Reunited and it feels soo good!

Traded my blank side/rear plastics for a set with OG decals. It really makes the bike for me. Now to continue hunting for a headlight, engine, and chin fairings. Also got a cheapo set of mirror off ebay, $15 shipped from chinaland. They are actually better quality than other cheap mirrors I've gone through.

Next up will be another round of maintenance; Clean entire bike up, clean chain, replace tube/tar, pull/clean/inspect rear brake(a bit sticky), change oil, and maybe a clutch rebuild.

Very nice score on the side covers... :thumbwink:
I will never be fully over the relationship with my "Nessie"...
but at least I have replaced her with a bike I can ride for a couple hours.
