Fudd's fifth law of two-wheel transporter regulations : Always remove and discard passenger footpegs, and NEVER, EVER install them on a moto built for solo occupancy.
Seems you would be more concerned where your buddy will put their

hey now. hey now. I'm presently making a dubbs seat pan and already began tooling the leather.

I dont want to alter the frame by welding... better suspension and putting a disk brakes up front is in the works.

would be nice to be able to put around the 30mph streets. guess I'll have to buy another ns for the Mrs!

^ definitely. i just got gazelles on there and have been chasing down an annoying problem with the bike cutting out on upper gears with high speeds. Could be fuel or rev limiter...

+plug looks a little lean, but temps are good over all (i have a trailer tech on it), so time to upjet
+might be draining bowl...so i need to re position the vent tubes, maybe it neg pressure?
+might just try and fuel a much larger petcock or throw 19mm oko on there. anyone interested in buying a 24mm mikuni?

what rev limit does an ns50 have?

Tom,

You may want to readjust the float bowl level on the Mikuni. They're notoriously sensitive.

I think ZRghost was saying it could rev to 12k rpm all day long. Someone please provide the right figure.

^ will do.also thinking it could get too large of a jet at wot. might be four stroking out. the cylinder is pretty gunked with carbon and the plug is BLACK. so... new plug tomorrow and 50:1 with some plug chops to make sure im not lean.

if anyone has a stock carb and intake for grabs, id be interested

The question is... will NSR50 front fairings fit an NS50f? :)

The answer is: the frames and all the dimensions are completely different.
Fitment will depend on your own ability to fabricate mounting....IMHO... :urban:

I am new to board having recently purchased a 1990 NS50.

I see photos of white rims (wheels).
Often I see the reference to "excel."

I am having difficulty as to what type of wheels these are and where to find?

thank you in advance -

Hello, I have finally found some information on these NS50fs here in the states! It's quite hard to fine any information on this little bike. I repainted it a couple years back and daily rode it for the summer. Last spring I bought a GSXR750 and needless to say this little beast wasn't ridden much. This spring I plan on riding it daily to save on gas. I also have a line on a local Honda shop that somehow has a NS50R!! Once all of this snow clears out I plan on getting the 3 spoke wheels, and front disc setup off of it. Here are some pics of mine.

Checking in with this news, hot off the press.
Local resident receives email notice from his perceptive son of a local Craigslist advert.
Title of advert reads : "70's MP5 scooter"
Advert body reads : "Parts or restore. Not running. $125 make offer."
My email to seller is soon responded to via phone.
A few questions later, it's obviously an '82 Honda MB5.
Needless to say, we came to an agreeable price,
and this day ranks above average... :urban:
