That looks awesome! I dig the steering geo workaround and of course the Minarelli! Stoppies would probably be outta the question...... front brakes don't look real strong. I wonder if it was designed to partially collapse or something? Really neat though!

I don't even see front brake evidence.......Where is the stuff that turns.....collapse?..... ....looks like its ready to collapse just sittin' there........might let my mother-in-law take it for a test ride......... ....
On the other hand, it is quite a unique looking scoot and I like the overall appearance
Can't find any info on google for this RECON.......tried sr500 stuff too.....any help?

-doesn't look like a minerelli engine to me; I spy a spark plug and coil wire under the saddle- looks more like the old Razz engine; unvariated chain drive...

steering geometry looks very similar to italjet dragster/formula scooters, neat

Yamaha also a big-bike foray into the exotic front suspension world with its GTS-1000 Sport-Touring machine. I'd be willing to bet it's a nightmare finding parts for this 1-year-only machine today, but it was "out there" in 1993.

BMW has one of at least two versions of Telelevers on most of its big bikes today. Telescopics have some drawbacks like fork "Stiction" and a tendency to dive under hard braking, but they're cheaper to produce and still the norm. Our Elite/Aero trailing links provide some measure of natural anti-dive. I just wish the travel was more than 2" sometimes.

The company Bimota has been using a similar front setup on production bikes for years. They started importing to the US in 2008 I think, but I'm not much of an exprert...

Yeah, all my old '80s bike mags are sticky from me drooling over Bimotas since that long ago.

Hub-center steering seems like a great idea for all kinds of Geometry reasons, but what do the GP and Superbikes run? Good ol' Telescopics. It seems they can't gain any competitive advantage with the exotic hardware, at least not yet.
