Yamaha Special 50
Just bought one last night. Still loaded in the truck. Anyone know where I can get a manual on this or parts? Pics to come.

Re: Yamaha Special 50
Why is it that I dont even know a Yamaha Special 50 exists until some proud purchaser starts in about the great deal he got?????........... ...........seems to be an ever-re-occurring event. Seattle for $75 ? Looks like the midget version of the "Exciter". Cooooooolll find.............
Okay, there's no room in the garage anyway.

Picture as promised. Yes, $75. Just got it out of the truck. Has no spark, lets see if a Spree coil will do the job

Re: Yamaha Special 50
80's Yamaha 50's do look big. The head has cooling passages that take up some space. Ever see a QT50 motor? nearly the same bottom end.

Re: Yamaha Special 50
Well shes got spark, (Thanks to an Aero coil) and runs via a gravity feed gas can. Tank and petcock are totally trashed. Carb needs a good soaking filter etc.. I think this old bike may have some life left. only has 809 miles.

No endorsement required. (I have one) 50 cc is OK in Wa.

A little over 60mph in stock form. You can mod them to go faster with the usual 2t mods or through sprocket size.Petrock's 1984 Spree wrote:Haha man that video is sweet!!
