Most sprees will not even run without the airbox.

If yours did 40 without it, it would be the first time in spree history. :surprise:

Have you changed the jets in the carb?

If you run your spree with no airbox, you risk blowing it up from running too lean. :nervous:

Do you have 2.5 tires?

The spreedometer is not very accurate.

GPS verified 40mph would be very impressive.

Everything is stock tires and all, Idk how it was possible but i was flying at 40. Possibly the ridiculous power to weight ratio?

Im not calling you a liar, but its highly unlikely that your spree does 40mph. Even if you are a very small asian girl, it probably would top @ 35mph...

Do you need glasses? :nerd:

The stock speedo only reads 35 mph. How do you know it is doing 40? Oh and down hill don't count.

Power/weight has more to do with acceleration than top speed.

You were probably going 35 tops. The spree speedometer is not very accurate with a 2.5 tire.
