1986 Honda Spree Kick start problems!

I'm not sure on how to post pics on this web site yet. But my problem with the kick start is as follows: When I try to kick start after a while of kick starting to try to start moped the half moon shaped gear rest on the case not allowing me to kick start the moped. So I have to take the case off and move the half moon shaped gear into proper location and put case back on. Then I can kick start it again. Anybody got idea of what is going on here?

Is the washer and snap ring on the shaft?

Sorry not get back sooner. Ring is on washer broke could always get one from a hard ware store also got a bystarter to put on then can electric start moped! Thanks moped!
