Picked up the Spree this evening. It's running well, but seeping a little around the float bowl gasket. Need to try and dig one of those up. It'll do about 25mph, but don't know about the mpg yet. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.

Did you change the drive belt while you were working on it?

Couldn't find a factory Honda belt and just learned about the AX24 yesterday. It should be here in 3-4 days, which is good because something let go in the tranny last night and there's stuff rolling around inside the case making racket. I haven't taken the cover off yet. Decided to order a pizza and drink beer instead.

It ran decent for about 35 miles total before it broke again. There's still a miss at higher speeds that we need to iron out. We cleaned the carb and ran it through a carb cleaner at a local shop and while it's rideable now, there's still a miss. I checked the airbox and everything looked okay in there. We'll deal with that once we fix the tranny problem(s).

I was under the impression that the AX-24 belt was for the pulley mod and not a replacement belt for the stock setup.

Well crap. Didn't gather that bit of info when I used the search. No wonder everyone just goes ahead and posts the same questions over and over.

It was in pieces under a crust of woodchips, grease and varnish. All the fairing was dissasembled and broken, the engine and carburator were a mess. I fixed it all with stuff I had lying around exept theses relays i bought for nothing Took me 4 days to reassemble. I blew 100$ on starter relays to get it working untill I found you need to push the brakes to get it running. anyway I managed by by-passing the start button and hook it up directly to the starter. I never touched a scooter in over 15 years I swear! I'm in love. I got this piece for free because I bought other stuff in the barn and this sweet fellow of mine ( co-worker tossed in in the deal ). I came for that Suzuki RV 125 tracker 1973 I got for 300$ also not working but managed to get it to work =)

That barn thing is real!! you find some nice stuff hidden in there
