Greetings:

Ehh, Yeah! Yeah that's it! That's the ticket! I am a dirty stinkin Liar.

Um, No. Nothing from your NQ comes even close to fitting the SE/05 block. Not the piston or cylinder, not the cooling shrouds, not the gears, not the pipe, Nothing! Taz's gears are for the NQ.

I was proposing you consider an outright engine swap, to SE/05 but you can't even re-use your carb. The Pilot circuit is too small.
Maybe the spark plug?

Thats no good at all :P I'mma check with the salavage yard on an elite engine. I think a complete swap to the af16 unrestricted if i can find one would be the easiest then I can add performance parts a piece at a time. There is only so much I can do to the present motor before it cannot be upgraded and thats mainly the bbk and taz gear set, with the elite engine I can upgrade the vari and gear set and not worry about anything else till I decide to change the piston and cylinder then I have to worry about a new carb, reeds, and exhaust, yes? As far as a swap i just have to get or make the shock mount and the engine mount I know but will the electricals match? What I am thinking is i can buy everything in one piece from the salavage yard.

The electrical bit is a piece of cake.

All the wire colors match up and there are only a half dozen wires.

The advantage of the salavage I use is I get to comb over his yard and take the parts off myself. I need to get any of the elctricals that are not specifically attached to the engine portion like the cdi etc? I know he had 2 elite's there just not sure which they were both different I think I will just have to take a trip down there with a jar of honey :D

You don't need any "elctricals" that are not connected to the engine.

Three wires come from the stator (yellow, white, black/red) and one pickup wire (blue/white) That is all you need.

The engine mount for the af16 would be a good thing to have.

The typos ambushed me  Yea I already figured I could unbolt the mount with the engine instead of just the bolt that holds the engine to the mount. The only thing about that KillinSpree is I want to keep the engine at 50cc at the moment. Tennessee doesnt require registration or tags and getting the title for mine I am sure would be a headache. I would have to run it in the paper then get a FMV appraisal and verification of the VIN etc and send along with a certification of ownership in order to be issued a new title in my name. Not to mention I have the C70 Passport, I wanna tweak the crap outta the 50cc so I dont have to pull over for everyone who decides to ride me like a donkey everytime I get on a main highway :coolcruise:

:D My first pick. I havent been able to sleep so I have been doing reasearch. I now know about the different engines from the elites and aero that I could swap. I just reasearched the ones with CVT not the SB50 which is a single speed like the nq50. Hopefully I can get a 94 or newer sa50 elite motor. I looked at some pictures and I cant quite recall but I think i saw one with the same engine when I was digging around the salvage yard. I have my fingers crossed, gonna try to head down there tomorrow. He was going to sell me 2 CT 90 trails mostly complete with engines for 225 so surely he will sell me a little ole elite engine for less than 100 :D Wish me luck :nerd:

Just got off the phone with the salavage and he said he would sell me the engine if I take it off for 175 :D Maybe I can talk him down to 150 so I still have enough money to order the variator and gears I neeed. If its the AF16e i wont mind so much paying what he asks but if its the variated AF05e I'm not gonna give any more than 100 for it :D

I am lucky :D The only elite on the lot and it was a 94 with the af16e i couldnt tell if it was the restricted or not. It has a throttle wing on the oil pump so I figure its unrestricted :D they also have a Aero I believe couldnt really tell it was burned but it had a af05e with a 4 bolt intake so if anyone is looking for one and can't find an af16 there is one in booneville MS. I talked him down to 150 for the af16 cause it was missing the rear tire, breather, and the kickstarter/cover. Luckily the clutch cover was laying on the ground along with the starter pinion gear. I will post pictures later on, just got home with it about to tear into it :D Motor mount and exhaust included :D

I am been scrubbing and cleaning on this thing since I got home with it at least 4 or 5 hours. I about have her cleaned up and polished nicely. She was covered in grease, grim, sand, and dirt. At some point they sold the back wheel so it has been sitting on the ground for some time. After I get all the outside wire brushed I'll spray her in and out with the air compressor. Don't want to take the crank case apart unless I have to. The compression seems good and the cylinder wall isn't scored much at all, it may need rings at some point but not a big deal. They also sold the kickstart assembly at some point so i gotta get that part of the housing luckily the pinion was laying on the ground and the lever with the clutch cover and rubber gasket. I noticed the throttle cable is gone along with the carb needle I imagine. Will the Spree throttle cable and needle work as long as I tie the oil pump open? I'll find at more as I start taking her apart more, right now just cleaning up the outside mainly :D

Thanks Wheelman, I appreciate you watching out for me :D I have been doing some searching for vari and final gears. I think I have settled on a Prodigy vari with 5, 6, and 7 g rollers and 8.4-1 final gears everything else stock with the assumption that my engine is not restricted :D Anyone have an idea how this setup would perform as far as acceleration from stop and hills? Also wondering what jets would I need for the carb if I use one of those small k&n pod filters since I dont have an airbox? :D
