I picked one up like that and have keeping it just for parts but the only problim is that they are just so well built I just never need parts. The only thing I have used so far off it is the tires. Have you got paper work so you can register it? Looks like some plastic and lights are missing which maybe you can find parts off E-Bay. What did they do run it out of oil? Looks like a nice find and hope you the best of luck with it.

Wow - good deal!

-- Reeds?
I've had a scooter which had sucked a disintegrated air filter into the reeds, blocking them open.Previous owner pulled the bad airfilter out of the airbox, but likely never figured out why it wouldn't run.

-- Spark timing?
Some members have had the flywheel loose its keyed alignment with the crank get off - sheared or missing key.

Spark, compression, fuel, and timeing and it will run. I have seen some good suggestions so far. Also the spree needs a complete hooked up air cleaner to run.

You might want to check what you need to do to register it in Connecticut before you spend much money on it. If you can't register it all it will be good for is a parts bike. In NY you would need paper work but as I understand some states you don't. This was the problim about the parts bike I have which I bought from a lawn sale.

I didn't even think of that...my first Spree had mud in the end of muffler and did nothing, i cleaned muffler out and it started right up.

Well you could drive it unregistered or just use it off road.

i checked and it doesn't need to be registered in Connecticut
i think and it must be the carb because it doesnt seem like its getting gas.... but the spark plug has gas on it when i take it out so im not sure. i think im going to have to keep trying stuff.
thanks guys
