Help!! Spree won't run after carb rebuild and tune-up, etc.

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

Cleaned carb. all the way.. even the little air passage in the float bowl

new spark plug with good fire (like arc welder)

put carb back to orginal adjustments

Did your scoot run before you cleaned the carb? If so, we can narrow it down to issues with the carb rebuild/reassembly before we go in all sorts of directions. Keep in mind the airbox needs to be installed for it to run. You may want to read through this thread to see the issues that someone else is having getting back up and running after a carb rebuild:

P.S. - You might want to change your subject so others can see what specific help you're looking for, i.e., "Spree won't run after carb rebuild and tune-up"

Fuel pump????? Sprees do not have a fuel pump, only an automatic petcock which turns the fuel on or off depending on if there is vacuum present.

Did you replace the fuel and vacuum lines? Clear lines are best.

You don't say, only imply that it ran before. If it did, then you did something wrong.

Did you reinstall the carb spacer/isolator properly?

Is the float level correct?

Is the air box attached and have and air filter and box top on it?

Hey bear.

The spree did not run before the carb overhaul. It ran the same. Only by blocking the air inlet of the carb.

Contrary to what sellers say, the carb is not always the only problem. Have you checked compression? I would also replace the fuel lines to insure clean flow.

Agreed but, possible air leak. Make sure all connections are tight and not cracked in any way. Fuel lines can look good especially the red OEM ones but, can be bad. Replace the fuel lines do a compression test and check for air leaks.
