Going to check out a Honda Aero 50 this week....from the pictures it seems to be in good shape plastics and is only sporting 3600 kms... It just has gone through a top end rebuild piston, cylinder head and crank 65cc... Supposedly the young fellow ran it dry of oil and pow/boom as they say....Is there anything I should eyeball real close ?? They have only driven 10 kms since rebuild...Everything works lights, brakes etc....I'll post a picture as it seems to be a odd colour for the research that I have done....Not sure if carb has been rejetted or if that is necessary if running good...Should be a basically break it and enjoy... He is looking for $700.00 Canadian which is a prime dollar.. Any advice out there ??

Larger jet and premix the fuel. The ratio depends on if the oil pump was removed during the rebuild.

Remember to break it in slow, vary your speed, if it smells hot, it is hot!

What does prime dollar means? I just wanted to clarify.
Did you mean that it was expensive? That would be my guess.

The moped seems to be in really great shape, although that is just cosmetically.
I personally look at how it runs mechanically rather than cosmetics although having both is awesome!

Try to find out as much info as you can on the parts that was upgraded so that it will be easier for people to help you fine tune or in the case of helping you find and/or recommending other parts, etc.

Sorry for the lingo but yes I meant expensive by the word prime....I'm going to try out this weekend...hoping it runs as well as it looks...He claims it does...I figure it can't be too rough if it is only showing 2000 miles..Not sure what type of 65 cc kit was used...Still not sure about the colour wondering if it was re-painted..Thanks for the info...it all helps...

It could be 1,200 miles. 25 years of riding can add up.
