title and registrations
Which state has no title, no registration, no stickers or tabs of any kind for 50cc mopeds?

Re: title and registrations
I believe New Mexico is one of em.
Although I believe if you were to buy a new scooter today they would give you a title.
But you definitely don't need tags, stickers, tabs or a rubber chicken to get down the road.
Now... proving ownership is where you get into trouble I'm guessing.

Educated guess, but Alabama also a no-title state....

hmm. i guess I don't have to carry my rubber chicken anymore since I don't need it for proving ownership.PolarIce wrote:I believe New Mexico is one of em.

You still might need to carry it for defense.Dio89Elite wrote:hmm. i guess I don't have to carry my rubber chicken anymore since I don't need it for proving ownership.PolarIce wrote:I believe New Mexico is one of em.

Re: title and registrations
lol I don't have any paperwork on my Aero NH80, found it in a friends garage when he moved into his new house, and I put it on my trailer. Didn't even have keys, that was fun.

Re: title and registrations
It is called government greed to try to cover short falls because they refuse to dump the pork belly spending to their political allies. So the cure is to screw the public. Example; here in Washington I pay a $10 tonnage fee on my scooter every year. In the end, every year it cost me $43 dollars for tabs and taxes on my 1983 Aero 80, but my 1990 Escort only cost me $33 including the $10 tonnage fee.

Re: title and registrations
Arkansas has no title or registration. It was interesting getting it titled in FL, but I got it done.

Re: title and registrations
I will have to call Arkansas vehicle registration in the morning. I tried to get a moped titled and registered here but Iowa DOT said Arkansas has registration but no titles and I need the registration in addition to the bill of sale. Hopefully you are right and I can have Arkansas send me the law to take to my local office. Either way I would have to have the bike inspected by Iowa DOT before receiving plates.noiseguy wrote:Arkansas has no title or registration.
