Its so very close that i think by cutting the flange off and rotaing it to match the head and re-welding, it'll work. and fabbing up a mounting bracket adapter by the fan shroud im gonna be good to go. Oh and I may need to wrap the header pipe its going to be a little close to the side plastic. Any thoughts you folks have, I'd love to hear them.

It's odd, the website says it fits AF05/GN2 models and maybe the Spree. patthesoundguy - it does not look like the pipe fits up to an AF05 either :|

the exhaust was still worth it, especially once I get it all on there. I hacked the flange off it yesterday and re-welded it on. It was almost a disaster... I slipped with the wire and burnt a hole in the 90 section of the pipe. got it welded over though. Here are the pics of the progress.

this is my bracket that will relocate the the mounting holes for the offset of the new pipe.
It started out as a 3" wide x 1/4" plate. I cut it free hand by marking with a sharpie and triming with the angle grinder a little at a time. Tomorw im going to pick up a piece of rod that will be welded to the plate and tap so the holes of the new pipe line up. It should work... Wish me luck.

Sorry, should have clarified, variated 09 (or was it 07?) on there.not the af05.the flat flange is what made me think of it.

It fits now... :geekdance: Check it out. It is a big improvement over my original exhaust which is totally baft inside and has two holes in the can where the rear baffle is broken off and rattling around inside. It is better all around, better low end and really starts to work at whatever rpm its at when it hits 20mph it is a steady pull from there right on up. I ended up finding threaded rod couplers today to finish the bracket, they were already threaded for 1$ each, just had to cut them and weld em on.

GPS says 28mph on flat road. Now my belt is getting close to being out of spec width wise... Do you guys think I could sqeeze a couple mph more out of that thing with a new belt. I bought an automotive belt to try only $15 so worth it. That new pipe sure pulls nice as well!! hills are no match for that spree. It always handled the biggest hills with ease but now its really quite impressive. Bottom end is great midrange is superb! Any slight downward grade it will do 32mph. It sure is nice to stop quick when doing speed runs. glad I put new brakes and front brake cable on last week the rear brake cable came in the mail while I was out speeding around the neighbourhood breaking the law.
Also what affect would knobby tires have on top speed? Good? Bad? Ugly?

New belt (wider) will increase top speed. Knobbies can increase to speed but decrease stability. Measure the tire height to confirm the diameter.
