What did I just buy?

So, I was under the assumption that the pre '94 elites had the af05e. Well I just went and looked at a '93 tonight that had a vin 3H1AF16*******, so I assumed this meant it has an af16 engine, but not sure. It also has a sticker under the seat that says sa50p. So is this a typical '93 elite SR? Or does this one actually have the newer motor? I wasnt sure, and it is in good shape so I bought it anyway lol.

AF16 is the frame number for all sa50/p models. AF16E is the engine for 94+ USA market sa50/p scooters.

The pic to post is the RIGHT side, where the split 2-piece belt cover readily identifies the U.S. AF16E block. The pipe looks pre-'94 though. Anyway, clear the half-inch of gunk off the rear gearcase cover and read for yourself. That scooter does appear to be in nice condition. Congratulations.

looks like a 93. AF05 engine. Slower, but still fun.
