The pavement punched me in the face today.

A Reminder to always wear a helmet.

I was leaning into a left hand corner when all the sudden I was flipped onto my right side, face first into the pavement.

not really sure what happened after that.

somehow i got back on the bike and rode home. (i don't remember how) :surprise:

sat on the couch in my livingroom..........and forgot how i got there.

My dad happen to come over to my house, i told him about my memory loss.

we went to the hospital, i got a catscan, My brain seems to be fine now

I am very sore now, but it would have been way worse, if I did not have a helmet.

Michigan does not require helmets, but I choose to wear one.

Please do.

This crash happened at low speed (under 25 mph).

But it happened in the blink of an eye.

Yes indeed. I still have no recall of the actual crash. But it had to have been a high-side.

There is no other explanation for landing face first on my right side while making a left hand corner.

I know. I see motorcycle riders every day with no helmets on.

When they passed the laws that made it legal to ride with no helmet, i thought most riders would still wear one.

My full face helmet really helped me out this time. :2thumbs:

.....And for those of you who were wondering , but may have thought it was rude to ask, my scooter is just fine.

Only thing that happened to my 1987 elite was a scrape on the pipe and a busted front right blinker.

did you have your plastics on?

my helmets saved my life in a dirt bike crash..... didn't help save either elbow from snapping though

do any guys not wear a full face mask on the forum? are "just head" or "bowl top" helmets not considered feminine in your area?
