Got a spree. No title

Post by lemo97 »

I got a spree for free not running and had flat tires etc etc. The guy that had it never had a title for it. Is it even possible for me to get one? I live in wisconsin if that helps. What can I do?

Get the vehichle identification number and call your dmv. Ask them if it has ever been titled. If it hasn't you are in good shape. Just need a bill of sale then.

Several possibilities for your title troubles, depending on the laws in Wisc.
Do as PeteM says...check with Wisc. DMV
Here in Tennessee, scooters under 50cc are not required to be registered,
therefor not required to be titled or insured.

Tomorrow I will check out the vin on it. Im almost positive it has been titled though because it has a Wisconsin plate on it that was last registered in 04.
