To buy or not to buy

Post by deuce217 »

I was thinking of picking up 2 scooters. 1 is a 1990 Riva Zuma, and 1 is a 1999 Zuma. Both are stock and in good condition. What do you guys think of those scooters? I kinda like the fat tires.

Thanks guys what do these normally sell for? I never really see jogs for sale. As far as I can tell there are not as much mods around for these vertical type engines as compared to the horizontal minarelli engines. Although I have found some nice polini pipes for them for big money 330.00 (thats big money for me). What do you guys think of the Athena pipes? I have found some of those for around 230.00 they look decent and I have heard the name mentioned in passing. I notice they also make cranks for the vertical style for around 200.00.

I would check on availability on those parts. They are out there but they're not easy to get ahold of at all. I had a vert that I tried to order parts for a few times and weeks later received refunds. They're fun but parts are becoming scarcer than af16 parts.
Mina's as I've been told and come to know are not like Hondas and parts must be matched or it's wasted power, money, and time. Tru72 and veedubh are extremely knowledgable about both if you can get any guidance from them.

The old malossi stuff is righteous, go for the mhr replica pipe, crank and cylinder if it can be found.

You have some very capable bikes. Now put one in a crate and ship it to me. :)

Sweet bikes! I finally watch the youtube video.

Cool bikes-Put michelin boppers on them. Keep the mods to a minimum if you ask me- I'd put a big bore, rejet, variator weights and clutch mods.
