getting an elite :-)

I can't contain my excitement. I'm going next week to go pick up an elite 150. I think it's possible it's a 125 I'll find out. I rode it several years ago and looked at it last fall but can't remember. I'll post some pics as soon as I go get it. Couldn't pass up the deal for a couple hundred dollars. I'll be going through it with a fine tooth comb. All new fluids all around. Gonna flush the cooling system for sure.

It sucks being out on the road working when you have a scooter waiting to be brought home to be added to the collection ;-). Been away from my shop for a couple weeks now. I miss my scooters ;-)

I'm looking forward to honda number 5 but after looking over the manual I'm not looking forward to maintaining a water cooled 4 stroke lol.

So,...which model did this one turn out to be ?
You will soon find out how it is costly, and often impractical to maintain 5 bikes as legally registered and insured.
I have s-l-o-w-l-y come to realize this and have taken oath to only keep two bikes that require tags and insurance.
The rest will be either designated for track use, or under 50cc street-legal... :urban:
Kudos on the score... :thumbwink:
Everybody who rides those likes them.

its an 84 elite 125. Had it running within about 5 min of pulling it off the trailer. Put a fresh tank of gas in it on the way home. It needed a shot of carb cleaner in the carb to get it to pop off the old fuel in the carb and it started and idled just fine. A little seafoam spray in the carb and it idles and revs great. It needs a bunch of TLC but nothng too serious. It has a huge exhaust leak that will have to be fixed and I'm very curious to see what the deal is ;-) can't wait to get all of the gear purchased for my scratch start tig setup :-) I'm Going to only keep 3 scoots on the road for now. The elite is going on the back burner for now untill Iget some other projects out of the way.

Hi pat. very nice ride.
the pop up light are known to get stuck. I would recommend some lubrication on the head light hinge. :thumbwink:

Yes it will get some lube along with every other moving part I can find ;-) I had the exhaust off tonight, it is to totally missing the gasket. So a battery and exhaust gasket needed so far not going to break the bank. New brake shoes eventually. And pauly this scoot is from the dark side... Its a four stroke lol. Its going take getting used to driving a four stroke scooter. For $200 with papers couldn't pass it up .
