Anyone know if the sb50 and spree mufflers will swap?
Also, is the sb50 restricted like the Iowa spree muffler is?

Re: Sb50 vs spree muffler
Greetings;
Don't know it for a fact, but the SB is heavily Spree-ish and the mufflers should swap. I've seen posts about how it's a bit bigger and represents something of a performance upgrade in fact, as are the (larger) SB reeds. The non-restricted SB50 ELITE "ES" reportedly can run over 30 - 35 in stock form by one report, so the more SB stuff you can find, the faster your Spree.

Re: Sb50 vs spree muffler
The Elite E or SB50 engine is just an over grown spree.
The reeds, intake, and exhaust flow better than any ever made for the spree.
If you own a 1985 or earlier spree the reeds are bigger on an elite e than your spree.
The elite E exhaust does not have a sharp 90 degree bend in it like the spree exhaust does.
This makes it flow with less restriction but may cause clearance issues between the frame and the initial bend in the exhaust.
If the ELITE E intake is used the elite E carb must be used with it.
The SB50 intake only has one vacuum port and no oil injection port. (The oil injection port is on the carb for the sb50)
