3.50 wide wheel tire size

Post by Ryan_ott »

What size tire would be needed for a 3.50 wide rear wheel on a sa50 elite? I have some 90/90 here but do I need or could I fit wider.
Thanks

90/90 -10 is the biggest I have hear of people fitting and only certain brands fit.

Mount the 90/90 on it and see what it looks like. A 100/90 might be better but I have not done this so use the 90/90 as a gauge. GL and please post up some pics of it and of the final decision.

It will be close but I think I can make it fit with a 90/90.

I am lime green jello over those wheels. Looks good, how bout a pic on the bike w that 90/90? I wanted to do the same rear wheel setup on mine before it blew up. I think you can get spacer washers to move put the wheel from the shock, or you can get an offset shock for more clearance. I read somewhere a list of 10" tire Heights and widths and the 3.50x10 is tall as * and too tall for the case, but the 100/90 and 100/80 arnt as bad. I've also found a 90/65 10 tire for Pocket bikes, and a 130/60, both are wide and low

Greetings:

3.50 is actually 4mm NARROWER than a 90/90, but a good bit TALLER. The height is where I encountered clearance issues. Your experience may differ.

It's a stretch but it fits. A few washers on the axle and it clears the shock.

So the 3.50 does fit? I heard the same, that it's a little narrower but taller, and too tall for the case.
That wheel looks way cool w the pirelli on there man.

I need to repainted the lettering it chipped mounting it up. This is a 3.50 wheel with a 90/90 tire. It's close but it fits. With an additional offset shock you would be fine. That is the only clearance issue the tire on the shock. Everything else is good.

Ok, I was thinking the tire size was 10x3.50 for a min. Width wise I think a 4" wheel would work w an offset shock and the right spacing and tire. There looks to be about 4.5" of usable space in between the case and the exhaust mount, according to my tape measuring skillz. You'd need a skinny tire, tho!

I kinda wanna tire stretch with an inner tube for like an 2.75-11 or 12 and put an 90/90-9 inner tube and just fatty roll the tire on lawl.
