30mm polini carb

Do u guys know on the polini carbs the slide at WOT does it go all the way up, to were u can't c it ?
I've been told by some guys that's it does.. But on my carb it sticks out the middle part of the slide were it looks like a half moon still out.. I tried adjusting it. Pushing it up with my finger an that's all she go's up.. Unless it doesn't ??i have an old OKO an it does ??

Yes, it should open all the way. Need to readjust your throttle cable..

I once found that the standard Honda throttle grip simply doesn't move the cable far enough to raise a 30mm carb's slide all the way up. Consider that the carb throat diameter is more than DOUBLE that of the stock carb. If you inspect it, you'll find there are a couple of ways you can add diameter to the throttle grip's slotted cam arrangement and increase the "throw" at the business end of the cable.

But your post made it sound like your slide was obstructed somehow. I recommend you remove and thoroughly inspect the carb to see if something is blocking its travel.

Yes that s what I'm thinking because I use my finger to push it up an it stop before it disappears to the top.. I'll try to get a pic

Yeah, that's a bit better than 3/4 throttle. I suggest you loosen the cap off the carb and see if it will go up all the way. If it will, Tighten down the cap again and disconnect the other end of the cable and see if you can get it to go all the way up by hand-pulling. If not, the reason should appear. OKOs and (I believe) Polinis arrive with cable adjusting nuts that might block the little lead Aglet (1.a metal or plastic tube fixed tightly around each end of a shoelace.) on the cable end. I eliminated those adjusting nuts altogether on a couple of my carbs to resolve this. You can adjust the cable at the threaded fitting in the middle of the cable.

Fixed!! That white plastic piece was upside down preventing the slide from going all the way up..
