How can I tell if theres a bbk on my scoot?

I was reading the instructions for the 48mm bbk and it says to drill holes in the top of the airbox cover. When I bought my 85 Spree, it had holes drilled in it already. Does that mean theres been a bbk installed? How can I tell? FYI, I haven't purchased a bbk. I was just reading the instructions posted here in the forums to do a possible upgrade. Thanks.

Greetings:

Is the previous owner(s) not available to ask? Folks drill holes for all kinds of reasons, usually wrong. A stock-engine Spree needs the airbox to remain as Honda-san ordained, but some think that the extra holes will improve air flow, and thus performance. They are mistaken. However it is possible that the bigger-bore 68cc big block DOES need a little more access to O-two. If you can't ask about its history, you will need to remove the plastics, cooling shroud and cylinder head to measure your cylinder diameter with a caliper.

You are so right wheel. People do the strangest things when trying to get more speed. Everyone knows I lived in Vegas for a long time. The funny thing about Vegas is it is a 24 hour town. Has anyone ever seen what tweekers can do to a scooter. OMG some of the things I have seen.
