Would this work with a Spree/aero/elite carb adapter? Not that I am personally interested in one, just curious.

Much smaller. What's the operating principle here? They have membranes... work on gravity feed? Trying to understand how they meter fuel.

Hey Brandon u should do dyno pulls between carbs if it's possible... If not I would love to see more pipes on the dyno...

That's the first dyno's lie a machine build to give us HP/TQ numbers lie.. Feel bad for those guys lol..

This is one reason why people don't beleive in dynos or h.p. and torque ratings so much. They each require the other to complete there formula, aka you need to know the torque to get the h.p. number, and you need the h.p. to get the torque number. This is why graphs showing these numbers so often meet at 5250 r.p.m., because that's usually where the math meets, or the engine speed used in calculation. But I agree it's still one of the only real world ways to measure the output of an engine w/o taking it down a track and seeing what it runs fastest or most effecient at, depending on where your aiming tuning wise.

And there cool to use, it's like drag racing in place haha.

Btw, how are these carbs to rebuild? I've looked up a diagram on them and there's quite a few parts in them w that pump built in. Can they be pulled apart and cleaned w/o new gaskets installed? How well do they take dirty fuel? My pwk seems to clog all the time, but I can clean it w a #2 screwdriver and a can of carb cleaner on the side of the road (don't ask how I kno)

Yeah... this carb design is actually pretty old. It pre-dates the use of reeds in 2-stroke engines. Prior to that, engines didn't have them, and relied on this type of carb to pulse fuel in on demand.

Nice thing is there's little to go wrong, aside from the diaphragm. When it breaks, it needs replaced... engine won't run without it.

The old Harley golf carts used tillotsen carbs back in the 60s and so did a lot of old snomobiles.

I had a '74 ski doo 340 twin snowmobile, with one tillitson on it, that was reed less and the intake was right in the middle of the cylinders, pretty interesting. That carb was excellent, easy to tune.

Yep. Anything early 2-stroke, 60's-70's designs. My snowblower had one... Once reeds came out, it was a huge improvement, and everyone added them to their motors.
