Aero 80 reeds

Post by sculpt »

I am putting together a 1984 Aero 80. Looking at past conversations I see that the consensus seems to be for Boyesen #740 reeds and #90 main jet. Before I open my wallet just wanted to make sure this still held true.

You are correct on the Main jet #90. I got the whole kit from ebay for like 22$

Iam not positive on the reeds but your headed in the right direction.

yup 90 jet and 740 reeds. winning combo for sure. if you cant find 740 reeds on ebay or amazon you have to buy them from Boyesen directly. you can save some cash if you ask them for the single set of the 740. the 740 reeds are two full sets of reeds for an intake similar to the CT intake that take two sets of reeds, and they sell a single set but I cant remember the number, its close like 730 or 720 they will tell you if you ask.
