Need help buying motorcycle earplugs.

Hello guys!

I'm a proud owner of a Honda Spree and a Honda CB 750 Nighthawk. Been riding motorcycles the past 15 years and just got diagnosed with tinnitus and hyperacusis earlier this year. I've been using cheap foam plugs the last couple of months but they're not very comfy under a helmet.

A friend recommended this one in the video but I just looked at their website and it's a bit expensive for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D6Q8ijgHWg
Also read this from their website and I think at the moment I'm leaning towards buying custom earplugs. Maybe the cheaper ones from them. https://www.bigearinc.com/best-earplugs ... the-facts/

I'm still not sure though. Can you please recommend something that I can use that's not too expensive.

Thanks in advance

No experience with earplugs here.
Can't stand to wear them.

Greetings:

The wind noise inside even a properly-fitted helmet has been measured and found to reach damaging levels. Longer rides at higher speed of course increase the risk. Industrial Safety Supply stores carry dozens of brands and designs of earplugs. They're dirt-cheap, so buy a variety and experiment.

I am a seasoned pro with earplugs. Proper fit and proper use are important. The cheap foam ones work great when they're right. I have the custom molded ones. They are great once you get them broke in. Don't get the cheap custom ones. If you're trying to be cheap just buy several different types and sizes of foam ones until you find the right ones for you.
