What carb/machine is this? Need to buy a new carb.

I got this scooter from a buddy and everything is labeled in Japanese. I’m not sure of the year,model but the carb is more work to rebuild than to buy a new one. If anyone can tell me what carb to buy and if I need to use the hoses coming off the head to the carb or if I can buy one with an electric or manual choke and plug those off. Thanks. Not sure why I can’t supply a picture but it says “file to large”. I’ll work on getting one ASAP.

You might think it’s hard to clean up that old carb but it would be better than a “new” one
Yes, you can bypass all the hoses by installing a shut off valve instead of the octopus heat choke system.

Thanks for the reply bonesv. I could rebuild it if you think that’s best. I guess must stuff u buy now is Chinese and probably won’t hold up as well as the original. Do you know what carb kit or carb this is so I can order the kit. I pulled it apart but I think the float has a hole in it because it over fills the bowl and leaks out the over flow no matter what I do.

If you have paypal you can get an auction service to bid for you and receive it then ship to you. Be prepared to spend big $$$ and no way to return for any reason. Good luck!

this is the carb and choke set up I was trying to describe in your other post!! I agree with bones, these carbs a easily rebuildable. but if you really want to buy one, pm an email address co I can send you pics of the one I have. ill sell it. its just sitting in my carb box.

I’m going to pull it and check with my local Honda shop on a rebuild kit. If I can’t get one I’ll message you. Thank you guys for the help. Curious where you are located if I bought from you?

You might cross ref it with gasket set for spree? Not sure if float/valve or bowl would cross over but good luck!

yup im in sometimes sunny southern California.
another place to look up parts once you pull your carb is Myron mopeds. hes got a web site with all sorts of pictures and part #s for you to match up to carb. hes a little weird almost an introvert. but hes honest and trustworthy ive purchased from him over the years. even though hes 15 minutes from me, I gotta email him first and schedule a parts pick up or shipping because he doesn't like walk ins. don't think youll have this problem being you live in England. lol.
hope you get yours sorted out if not ill sell you this one for 20-25$ plus shipping. I don't have any use for it. looks like you do, let me know if you want it. thanks
