‘85 Spree Stator Coil Issue

No spark condition, pulled stator and looks like the fan bolts were put back into the flywheel after removing the fan by original owner. Given the length.. when cranking over the bolt was cutting into the excitor coil. Sharing for reference. Ordered a used stator.
Anyone know if the coil itself can be replaced or rewound?
