Try a different CDI. When they go wonky they do weird things. Stay away from the cheap ebay “racing” CDI’s. Get a nice used OEM one and try it. I have a box full of them somewhere in storage. If it wasnt buried in 1 of 100 bins I would just give you one.

Pay attention to “how” it dies. Does it sound like its sputtering and bogging before it quits? Like getting flogged with excess fuel?…or does it just suddenly die like you just hit the kill button?

Next ride, go with the body panels off and bring a tool to remove the spark plug and gloves (hot motor). After it dies, dont try to restart it and pull the spark plug out. See if its soaking wet or bone dry. At least that will tell you if you lost spark somehow. The coil wire has a history of going bad sometimes and giving intermittent issues that is difficult to diagnose.

It's honestly running optimally just doesn't like a load it's weird I was riding it with a second body and it just sputtered and died and later that night I rode it by myself to no problem and today took the nearly 7 mile drive to work with no problem infrared thermometer said 200 after that ride last night was 400 and played with the air fuel screw I'm assuming it doesn't like stock turnout as it has 100 psi when hot

Overall I'm happy with it for now I need to get my moneys worth out of it currently so I'm done trying to get it perfect 12/1 af ratio with beautiful performance and mileage just need it to go from a to b for a while I'll send a picture of what the plug likes after my back and forth from work to get some second opinions but I think it looks optimal (coming from a plug map and past prior plug checks on many vehicles) thanks for your help meatball without you this forum would be dead

It just dies when it wants to starting to notice when it does do this if you can push it to roughly 12 mph it takes off really gotta f*** with it and it’s weird cause it made a whole 7 mile drive but 6 mins into the Very same drive back it dies out on me I need someone else’s help this s*** just doesn’t make sense anymore I’m gonna try to do a hot leak down test but it’s gonna be rough to do as it takes a hot minute to get it all hooked up someone shoot me ideas I’m gonna throw a fresh cdi and boot on it when I can but any ideas at this point that don’t cost cash

A very nice thing to say, and certainly the value of you, Meatball, is without question,
but this forum is far from dead without you, just to be clear of the value of several others present here...

Been there, done that . . . my money is on the bystarter . . . I did a bystarter delete on mine with #65 stock Honda main jet and an oil pump driven gear delete and never looked back
