94-01 elite Sr engine ran fine now surges and won't go past 5500 rpm until warmed up to 230f

It was running 32/1 switched to 40/1 in diagnosis process changed jets about 100 times cleaned carb once (polini cp 17.5) ignition seems alright as it ran great before my only guess is a clogged exhaust does anyone have any other guesses

I recommend you check compression before and after a few CCs of oil in the top end.

It's weird the problem has since been solved it was something to do with grounding I changed the ground spot but it hasn't changed it now has been when the kickstands down it won't Rev and when it's up and grounded to the frame it will Rev out fine Ive seen sparks fly off the kickstand and engine when they tap

Aside from the wiring gremlins…does that say 17.5mm carb and Arrow on a stock bore? Thats like $400 in parts for nothing more than tuning issues and a cool sound. Get the Corsa, man.
