Just incase anyone cares. maddog passed away a few years ago. Slipped on his scooter ramp on his back porch taking out his trash. The kids name who bought his entire collection is Adam Anich. Found out on FB.

Peace out.

Yes, his demise has been reported previously by a fella who said he acquired one/some of maddog's scooters. Has been a few years now. I suppose that maddog had some validity to his claims of fast bikes and a colorful past. Truth is, maddog was still present on this board when I joined 14 years ago. Not once did he ever post any pix of his bikes, and his claims were quite fantastical, even unbelievable. His tone was always offensive, and he presented himself as a better builder/tuner than anyone else. Very off-putting to most, and his absence has allowed the focus of this board to be friendly and helpful. I'm not sorry to be honest in my opinion of maddog, his legacy here was of tall tales and rude retorts.

No, I'm pretty sure the property was legit, he probably inherited it. FL "property" varies a lot; a lot in Miami =/= some swamp acreage around Okeechobee. Believe it was more like the latter.

just about sums it up, well put motormike.

yet to his credit, he did send me a 'center spring saver bearing' add-on for rear pulley for free, when it at first sounded like it was all just smoke and mirrors. the part did not work great on the stock AF16 rear pulley and I ultimately removed it. but the fact that he came thru with it was sure a surprise.

At least his efforts, however misguided, made for some entertainment at times. RIP dawg.

Greetings:

He sent me one of those Contra spring bearing seats too. RIP indeed. Don't suppose a pic of that Elusive Aero is forthcoming?
