now did they make two different types of these variators? both these came off of SE50 engines. if u look at the pics, u can c the differences in the ramp plates and the cover thats held in with the three 7mm screws.so im going through my aero50 engine and i looked at that variator....its the exact same as the one i took off my 84 EXCEPT for the cover.
the pic on the right, the ramp plate doesnt have as much as a "curve" for the rollors. i noticed the rollors are much lighter than the ones i took out of my 84, witch means y the belt didnt ride as high as u can c in the pic.
so i guess my question is.....witch one is better? would the variator on the right be better if i put in heavier rollors? hmm....
