You'd be better off starting with an existing expansion chamber and modifying it to fit the stock downpipe. The problem that I see is that the expansion chamber will need to "bend" around the fan shroud if you want to keep the length relationships the same (and yes, you would like to do that if possible.)

I have a pocketbike chamber/absorber that I want to modify to fit, purchased for $20 off Ebay. By my calcs, it's a little oversized for the application but is a lot easier than forming/welding cones. One of these days...

so if i picked up one of those $20.00 pocket bike expansion chambers off ebay. Chopped it and welded it to the Spree down pipe. This should give mr some power gains?? I wonder what i should expext to gain from this...Low end torque?...better mid range??....higher top speed???....hummm.

No idea what it would do, should help across the board.

I've had the parts to do this for 2 months now, but still haven't gotten around to welding it up. To keep the lengths the same, you actually have to cut the chamber itself and curve it around the fan shroud, which is an annoyance. Might be easier to not bother... maybe I'll try that first.

I founds a guy who will custom make me a pipe. He can build it for what ever I like ie: low end, mid range, or top speed. Way better then me trying to jerry rig somethig that might work.

There's no trans on a Spree, really. Pulley mods will increase top speed, if you get enough increase in low end you shouldn't notice the bogging at takeoff.

Let us know what your pipe ends up looking like.
