Fuel Line Size

Post by ajohn505 »

I couldn't find this information listed anywhere on the forum.

What is the recommended fuel line I.D. (inside diameter)? To be very specific, I mean the hoses (the stock ones are red cloth-covered) that go from the fuel valve to the carburetor and from the vacuum end of the fuel valve to the intake.

The fuel line is 3/16", the vacuum is 3/32" I think.

Thanks. I used 1/8" on the vacuum line and it worked fine. (as far as I know, I don't have the airbox yet to start on the fine tuning). It required a firm push to get it on, and the surgical-style hosing stretched around the barbs nicely. It appears to form a good seal.

I'll try the 3/16" on the fuel line today and report my findings.
