Why don't you put the 7:1 or even the 6:1 in the drag bike? Don't you think you would get a better Top end? you probably looking for the take off huh???

Sounds good. When you get on the throttle does it just want to wheelie?veedubh20 wrote:9:1 , dd50 motor/ contesta bore not port, pg long, ct,28mm carb. little over 70 mph. w/110lb

he's racing 1/8th mi.. I would take 9:1 over 7 for such a short stretch too, keep the revs up at launch and all the wayDorkoElite303 wrote:Why don't you put the 7:1 or even the 6:1 in the drag bike? Don't you think you would get a better Top end? you probably looking for the take off huh???
7-8.5:1 might be better for 1/4mi though

I see i see. I think my next build is going to be a torque monster. I want something that will climb a hill at 50mph and pop wheelies at cruising speed. Any suggestions? i'm running 9:1 gears already in a stock elite. But I'm think corsa 72 with a race pipe?
