Holy s***

I work in East Lansing, near Michigan State University. I see scooters all over the place here. About 3 months ago, I saw a nice, black little Spree. That's it. Haven't seen one since I was maybe 12 years old, when my dad bought one for us kids to beat on.
1986 Honda Spree - Running amazing.....body work still needs to be done, but that's a Spring job.
The spree, a japanese bike is an american icon.
You talk to d*** near anybody about scooters and they will have a story about there past and a honda spree. I dont see so many of them on the road now but everybody knows them. My old boss, who was a big car guy. He had tons of cars, all sorts of high end high dollar cars. And even he admits he likes the spree. Everything he does is buy and sell, but he was talking about finding a mint spree and storing it away for another 10 years.

Yeah. You should see mine next to 'Jeeves' - my '52 MGTD. I thought the MG was small - but the Spree looks like it could fit in that sucker's glove compartment.vnice wrote:So...I finally...FINALLY...saw a Spree being ridden on the road yesterday. Good lord, they're tiny! Looks a bit like a toy. Hehe.
And they're both the same color red too. My garage is a zoo - but I like it that way.

It's not only cherry, but it looks like the Jolly Red Giant next to MicroVespa there.Chisholm wrote:I ride my Spree to school (Ohio State) nearly every day. I had some dudes at a stop light in the hood start cracking up that I was riding a Spree. They must have had some kind of memory of it.
Oh, and I think mine is pretty cherry.

Cute kids. Ya'd better be careful, though, because with all the riding practice their getting, in a few short years they're gonna be hittin' ya up for yer Spree, bud.Chisholm wrote:The "Young Master" we brought it back from Taiwan when I was a kid.
My kids ride it now; it's a 6-volt electric.
My daughter explained that scooters are cooler than motorcycles because,
"They have more color".
