Long story short, I bought an 85 spree that ran - two hours later it wouldn't turn on. I'm a college student and I have been saving up for several months to get a scoot (this one was 450$) and I don't have the money to give a mechanic 85$ an hour to tell me that I need to spend 50$ for this part and 65$ for that part. Buuut, I have basically no knowledge of scooters, or anything mechanical for that matter...
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced mechanic in the Tacoma/Seattle area? Or anyone that would be willing to help me figure out what is preventing this puppy from starting for less than an arm and a leg? Maybe just an ear. I'd give an ear to know how to get my scooter running.
Thanks,
Sandie

A reasonable mechanic is an oxymoron. But with more info we might get it rolling for you. What happens when you try to start it. Also tell us what proceedure you are using to try and start it.
