Greetings:
I had a half-inch hole in the vinyl. P.O. probably used the saddle to hold his cigar in the workshop & let it burn.
Duct tape kept the rain out of the foam temporarily but it sort of spoiled the look.
I got a Vinyl Repair Kit by Prematex at Wal-Mart. It comes with 6 small tubs of different colors of raw vinyl that can be blended to match any color. Used the included glue to back up the hole with a swatch of fabric. Then smear on the vinyl mixture. The most important part is to heat cure the vinyl over the repair
This is done by heating a little circular "iron" and applying it over the selected grain swatch from 3 choices to match the saddle - also included.
The repair could be better with practice, but hardly noticeable - sure better than Duct Tape!
Happy Patching!
