The wife wants an R1 on her 2000 elite. No other mods, besides i want the elite to stay very close to stock. Anyways, do i need to do anything like upjet the carb or just bolt on and go. Or would just the muffler not be worth it by itself? I think i will get a keli pulley too, but that's it. Why won't Daywot answer my email?????

I thought you were referring the Yamaha R1, which I have two of them, haha.

You will have to do all those things, otherwise I think the ped is gonna just bog and have no torque.

hmm that was my plan for my elite at some point, but as folks said R1 may not be best choice.. actual chamber pipe for smaller bores would be better and what I hope to find

howbout pulley and 9:1 gears?

So this quote from Daywots listing is misleading?
Designed to be used together with 50cc up to 72cc performance cylinder.
Designed to be used with either your factory carburetor or larger performance carburetor.

BS= I got the R1 on a stock 94 elite, upjetted 4 jets, and I went 44 mph on my stock 50cc topend. Then I put on a 90cc kit and got to 50.

r1 pipe doesnt work well on stock bore! 72cc will get power gain..

all parts are not bolt on! just trial/error on rider' weight!

90cc motor tuned should be seriously flying. My Elite SR goes 47mph with stock 49cc motor, and I'm a husky hawaiian local boy, haha.

How was the take off up to 44?

I get 45 with a goshi pipe and a variator, and it pulls hard the whole time.
